About ebooks

Electronic Books (ebooks) are designed to be read on a computer screen. Because of this they are less expensive than the hard copy editions, take up little memory space and can sit on your desktop to be read at the click of a mouse.

In America handheld electronic book readers are a familiar, everyday item. If you are UK based and using Windows and have never downloaded an ebook to your PC before, you have the option of downloading the book in HTML, PDF or Microsoft format.
My personal favourite is the Microsoft format because the downloaded book looks like a book. You turn the pages like a book and after closing it the book will, when you return to it, open on the page you were previously reading.
Any future ebooks purchased will be added to the reader and you can build a whole library of ebooks that are stored in a single, easy to manage file.

Once the book has been downloaded you will be given the option of opening the file or save to disc. Choose save to disc, I, being an idiot, after downloading my first two ebooks chose the 'open' option. I was delighted with the paper back books that appeared on the left of my monitor following my clicking on the icon. I read for about thirty minutes, closed my book - and lost them both!
You can be sure that I picked the 'save' option when I downloaded them again.

If you buy one of my novels, or try an episode of Lord of the Woods, your feedback would be most welcome.
Tonyb.
